What is a bubble? Context you save once and use in any AI app

A bubble is anything you want your AI to keep and use. You save it once, and ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, Cursor and 20+ more AI tools can read it.

What goes in a bubble

If an AI can read it and act on it, it can be a bubble.

KindFor example
A memoryHow you like answers written, your job, the facts you keep repeating
A project briefThe stack, the conventions, and what's off limits
A skillHow to do something, step by step
An agentA role, its instructions and the tools it uses
A workflowA weekly report your AI should do the same way every time
A saved chatThe long conversation where you settled the pricing

A bubble is Markdown text, up to 512 KB. Here's a skill as a bubble:

Review a pull request
# Review a pull request
1. Read the description and the linked issue first.
2. Run the tests before reading the code.
3. List problems by severity: bugs, then security, then style.
4. Say what you didn't check.

How you use one

Connect your AI app once. Paste this line into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, Cursor or whichever AI you use:

Prompt
Connect my Sixteen Bridges account — follow https://sixteenbridges.com/llms.txt

Chat apps tell you the steps. Claude Code, Cursor's agent and other tools that run commands do the sign-in themselves, and you click Allow. Some apps only allow connectors on paid plans, and the steps for each app say which.

Then you talk to your AI as usual:

  • “Save this as a bubble.”
  • “Read my bubble about the pricing page and continue from there.”
  • “Add to my project brief: we moved to Drizzle.”

Change a bubble once, and every app gets the new version the next time it opens it. You can also paste text or upload a Markdown file on your bubbles page, or use the sixteenbridges command from a terminal.

What you control

  • Nothing is saved on its own. A bubble exists because you or your AI asked for it, and you can read every word of it.
  • Group bubbles into buckets, and share a copy with a colleague by email.
  • Disconnect any app on your account page. Its access ends within a minute.
  • A deleted bubble stays in your trash for 7 days, so you can bring it back.
  • We don't train AI models on your bubbles.
Bubbles are stored as plain text, not end-to-end encrypted, so keep passwords and keys out of them.

Try one

The free plan holds 20 bubbles of up to 512 KB of text each. Save the thing you keep explaining to every AI app, then open it somewhere else. To compare with what's built into your apps, see ChatGPT memory vs Claude memory vs bubbles.

To move a chat you're in the middle of, use LLM Context Bridge, our free Chrome extension. It carries the whole conversation to another assistant in one click, with no account.
